What paint do you use and how long does it last?

Althea uses Resene Lumbersider, a premium waterborne low-sheen acrylic with a lifespan of 10–12 years, suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Where finer detail or embellishments are needed, Montana artist-grade spray cans are utlised. All exterior walls receive a Dulux primer chosen specifically for the surface type, and once complete, a professional anti-graffiti UV protectant coating is applied to ensure longevity and easy cleaning.

Do you travel for murals?

Yes. Althea is based in Adelaide, South Australia but paints Australia-wide and internationally.

Can I see a design concept before painting begins?

Yes, a digital concept is provided for approval before any painting begins.

How many rounds of design revisions will there be?

You will receive a complete digital design and mock up on your wall. There's up to two rounds of revisions during the concept and design phase. Any revisions thereafter are charged at $60 an hour.

What surfaces can you paint on?

I paint on a wide range of surfaces including render, brick, concrete, timber, corrugation, and more — both interior and exterior. Surface condition is assessed before we begin, as some surfaces require additional preparation.

What deposit is required?

50% deposit required to secure your booking.

Do you handle permits or grant applications?

Permits are the client's responsibility. Althea is happy to guide and provide supporting documentation for grant applications but does not apply on the client's behalf.

Are you insured?

Yes, fully insured. Certificate of Currency available on request. Please also see certifications on the About page.
