Ganesh Stirling

Commissioned by Indian restaurant, Tandoori Spice in 2019. The mural depicts the Hindu god Ganesha, the provider of material wealth. Attention to the yoga practice of Vastu Sastra, an Indian form of feng shui, has been used to harmonise the space in collaboration with the client. Ganesh, the remover of obstacles and harbinger of prosperity, is depicted in vibrant colours, invoking positive energy and auspiciousness. Each stroke is imbued with reverence, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of India. As patrons enter, they're greeted by Ganesh's benevolent presence, fostering a sense of warmth and welcome. Through this mural, we aimed to create a sacred space where diners can savour not just delicious cuisine, but also the blessings of Ganesh, ensuring success and prosperity for the restaurant.
