Parisian Street Mural
Info
630cm x 240cm, interior house paint, Clarke Carinya, Myrtle Bank, South Australia, 2025
Created for Bolton Clarke Carinya, this mural was designed to transport residents and staff to the beautiful sights of Paris. The artwork depicts a vibrant Parisian street scene, alive with cafés, classic French architecture, and a warm sense of community. A musician playing the accordion takes centre stage, while the Eiffel Tower rises in the distance, adding a touch of romantic charm.
Painted live during Bastille Day celebrations — an annual highlight at the home — the mural reflects both the elegance of the heritage-listed building and the cultural spirit of its community. Hidden within the scene is Romeo, the beloved French bulldog and regular visitor, subtly included as a tribute to the special bond he shares with residents and staff.
Completed in 2025, the mural has since become a much-loved feature of the home and a frequent talking point among residents, staff, and visitors alike. The project also caught the attention of The Advertiser, who published an article celebrating the mural and its uplifting presence within the aged care space.
